 A Black Sheep

This is a story of a girl,

Who has never been treated fair,

She's been discriminated in her land

For doing nothing but being a woman.

She moved with high hopes to another land,

Where advertised equality for all women,

Thinking for a better future,

Following her dream of being a University teacher.

In the new land, she faces complicated commands,

She needs papers for every demand,

Having high spirits and hopes,

She continues opening tied ropes.

A miracle came to her life,

She was happy for her little love,

She keeps her fighting stronger,

Now, also for the sake of her daughter.

She witnesses how a white person,

Wants to always teach her a lesson,

That she is wrong and knows nothing

As they have a better raising.

She was discriminated again,

For not being a German or having American grains,

She turns a deaf ear to these rotten thoughts,

She is a fighter with a high spirit to fight.

Her journey gets to its pitch,

By finding a job known for foreigners as kitsch,

She hears about cultural diversity,

Where people will be treated fairly with equality.

She begins with hopes that they are not just words,

They will do it in their routines and daily work.

But it was just a showoff,

They just do it because it is in the law and talked,

They don't believe in it,

Treating foreigners like shit,

I leave them with a heartbreak and damaged souls,

With a ruined confidence, sleeplessness, and sores.

My job shattered my dream,

That Germany is a land to win

They believe in equality because it's a trend,

It's just words for them with no action to mend,

I will do my best to leave this land for them to keep

Because no matter what, I will always remain a black sheep.
