A New Year Has Come
Snows are pouring,
Sky is turning to grey,
Everywhere, clouds are covering,
Will we have a good sunny May?
Wars have crumbled the world,
Could Hopes and Wishes act as Excalibur?
Can we alter wrongs to right with this
Sword?
The New Year’s promises seem a fragile
cure.
People search for homeland of peace,
Will be there a place to include all?
Prosperity and happiness are at risk,
Humanity is at the threshold of fall.
We seek a new beginning each year,
Facing hardships, uncertainty, ambiguity,
Having a firm aim to use Excalibur with
care,
Defeating doubts and difficulties with
clarity.
As Snow covers roofs, streets and trees,
Nature attempts to survive in its sleep,
A new year arrives with freeze yet try to
seize,
A novel quest for us to reap,
Let the snow breeze, we have a journey to
keep.
